As a result of its sheer scale, global cargo was an early adopter of technology for efficiency. While digital connectivity between carriers, forwarders and shippers has historically lagged, the industry has recently made huge advancements. This is, perhaps, best reflected in Freightos’ recent announcement that over one million transactions were booked on the platform in 2024.
