What isn’t measured doesn’t change.

Welcome to the June 2024 edition of the WebCargo Digital Air Cargo (DAC) Monthly Report. In May, air cargo rates from China to North America and Europe eased slightly, while rates from South Asia remained stable, despite concerns that ocean disruptions could shift more volumes to air freight.

In May, eBooking adoption continues to rise, as AirBaltic launched perishable and pharmaceutical shipments from Sweden. CSA BACS France launched eBookings from CDG to Algeria, Norse Cargo launched from Italy, Qatar Airways Cargo increased its auto-confirmation limit to 3.5 tonnes/20 CBM across all European origins, and Singapore Airlines launched from the Netherlands. United Cargo launched in Europe and North America for selected forwarders, Virgin Atlantic opened routes from Austria, and ITA Airways Cargo launched from Toronto to Rome.

This month’s report features Q+A with Kareem Naouri, CEO and Co-Founder, Logistaas, a leading Transportation Management System provider, discussing the importance of TMS integration for forwarder technology, the motivation for Logistaas’s partnership with WebCargo and how integration is benefiting Logistaas forwarders and their customers.
